I've been listening to this artist, Rachel McGoye, she has such an amazing voice! My favorite song is "Walk Away" off her new album "Beautiful Disaster" check her out if you haven't heard of her.

For pretty much the first time since high school I've been listened to a lot of Bob Dylan (mostly Blood on the Tracks and Blonde on Blonde)
Was listening to one of the Dicks Picks (Tahoe, 1968) a lot before the Phil shows. Also: the Best of the Meters, that Moe NYE show that Phunky D posted on here and the Jack Johnson kids album that River is in love with. |

grooving to The Motet "Instrumental Dissent" on the bus just now.
Been listening to Umphs lots this week (archive shows from Dec. last year and "Safety in Numbers") tho' I never play the band on the day of the show. on the softer side, I've been enjoying The Sparrow quartet at their myspace page. |

Really? If that's the case you would have been right at home seeing Umphs last night.
I know... I know... you have seen them in the past and know what they're about. 
I seriously do have to say that last night's show was one of the most lively and bouncing crowds I've seen at an Upstream show in a LONNNG TIME! Alot of people in the small venue helps out too of course. Keither I still can't believe that you requested " I ran", by A Flock of Seagulls for your birthday song....
